Albion came from behind to claim first win for Sam Allardyce. Premier League results: Wolves 2-3 West Brom

West Bromwich Albion came from behind to beat Wolves 3-2 and keep their survival hopes alive in the Premier League.

After getting knocked out of FA Cup against Ligue 1 side Blackpool on penalties in the midweek, West Bromwich Albion return to winning ways with a stunning comeback win in the Black Country derby.

Inside nine minutes, Wolves colors, and Willy Boly.

Sam Allardyce’s half-time team talk certainly changed the dynamics of the game as the visitors equalized inside six minutes after the restart as Semi Ajayi’s lovely little looping header set up an exciting final half-hour or so.

Four minutes later, another clumsy tackle, this time by Conor Coady, on Callum Robinson gave West Brom chance to go ahead again and nerveless Matheus Pereira slotted home sending Patricio to the wrong way.

Sam Allardyce reaction on derby win:

“We are still drowning, we've still got our heads under the water, and the only way to get our heads above water is hard graft. A run of being undefeated will help – you can see what that has done for Fulham and Brighton.”
