Arsenal midfielder hints he’d be leaving the club after Chelsea draw

Arsenal and Spain midfielder Dani Ceballos has hinted on Instagram that he’d be leaving the Gunners at the end of the 2019/20 season. The 23-year-old is currently on a one-year loan from La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old Spain international joined the Gunners on a season-long loan from La Liga giants Real Madrid at the start of this season.

Chelsea on Wednesday.

Mikel Arteta’s men played much of the game with only 10 men after David Luiz was sent off for his challenge on Tammy Abraham following some comical defending by fellow defender Shkodran Mustafi.

The Blues’ scored from the resulting penalty kick but the game was back on level terms after the half-time interval as youngster Gabriel Martinelli ran the length of the pitch to score past Kepa Arrizzabalaga.

Frank Lampard must have thought that his team had secured all three points after a Cezar Azpilicueta goal in the final stages but for a late Hector Bellerin strike that secured a point for the away side. The on-loan midfielder from Real Madrid took to Instagram late on Tuesday night to drop a huge hint about where he'd be playing next season.

In his reply to Bellerin's post on Instagram , Ceballos wrote: “I'll miss those goals with the left foot bro! You deserve all the good that happens to you.”

Ceballos has been unable to make his mark for the Gunners this season due to the injury he sustained at the start of the campaign which kept the Spaniard out of action for two months.

The 23-year-old went back to Spain to work on his rehab and hasn't been able to convince new boss Arteta to give him a place in his starting XI.

He has made only 11 appearances for the Gunners in the Premier League this season, with only 7 of those seeing the Spain international being nominated in the starting XI by his manager.Less than a week before the Spaniard hinted that he'd be leaving the Emirates at the end of this season, Arteta had given a positive update regarding his future at the club.

The Arsenal boss said earlier in January: “Dani had an injury where he was out for almost two months and had to go to Madrid for his rehab.

“He came back and in the first few weeks, I didn't think that he was physically at the level to compete for starting games.

“It's true that I have players in that position who have been performing really well, and last week when I believed that he was ready to step in, I decided to pick another player.

“But he's been training good, I'm happy with him and I know him really well, so there's no issues there.” [/ vc_column_text] [/ vc_column] [/ vc_row] “Trending:” taxonomy = “post_tag”] [/ vc_column] [/ vc_row] [/ vc_section]
