Alaba offered to Madrid, Messi has offer from Serie A giants and Barca set Pedri release clause

The 28-year-old Austria international, who has been with Bayern since 2008, is currently in the final year of his contract and will be a free agent next summer.

Bayern Munich have offered Real Madrid the chance to sign David Alaba in the January transfer window, according to Calcio Mercato.

The Bundesliga giants’ relationship with the centre-back has soared after the club withdrew their offer of a new contract that would have seen Alaba extend his 12-year-long stay at the Allianz Stadium beyond next summer.

Bayern president Herbert Hainer confirmed the news on Sunday before insinuating that it was the player’s high demands that forced the Bavarian outfit to withdraw their offer. Alaba didn’t react kindly to the news and slammed the Bundesliga champions for revealing ‘internal stuff’.

And now reports from Italy claim that Bayern want to cut their losses on the 28-year-old by getting him off their wage bill in January, with both Juventus and Inter Milan also keeping tabs on the Austrian’s uncertain situation in Germany.

With his contract with Barcelona ending next summer, the Argentina superstar will be free to speak with other clubs in January.

Lionel Messi has an offer on the table from Inter Milan as the Argentina international edges closer to a Barcelona exit next summer, per OK Diario.

The Barcelona captain reluctantly stayed at the Catalan giants for one more season after the club blocked all the avenues of him leaving on a free transfer this summer but he will be open to negotiate his move to other clubs in January.

The Telegraph reports that Barca sources are adamant that the 33-year-old’s future at the Camp Nou will be resolved later in the ongoing campaign, with the player’s future at the club expected to become clearer after March’s presidential elections.

It is also being reported that Manchester City, after missing out on signing the Argentina talisman on a free transfer this summer, could reignite their pursuit of the forward by striking a mega-money deal with him in two months’ time.
