The incident took place last Friday, after which Mikel Arteta sent both players home from training, and the duo has since apologized to their teammates.
David Luiz and Dani Ceballos were involved in a heated altercation during Arsenal’s training session last Friday, according to The Athletic.
The Brazilian centre-back took exception to his Spanish teammate’s tackle at the end of a squad practice game last week, striking the 25-year-old on the face and drawing blood from him.
Ceballos, who was knocked to the floor, quickly rose to his feet before teammates and staff separated both the players, after which Arteta sent the duo home from training.
However, after a hiatus of three days, the duo apologized to their teammates and the training has since resumed with no further drama. Arteta has also talked to both players in the training room and asked them to mend their differences.
Manchester United are set to rival Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, reports Marca .
Camavinga, who is valued at around € 70million by Rennes, is one of the most highly-rated youngsters who are currently playing in the French top-flight.
His focused, magnetic and box-to-box performances last season helped Julian Stephan’s men qualify for the Champions League for the first time ever, after which the teenager was rewarded with his first call-up to Les Blues squad.
The 18-year-old is the third youngest player to ever play for the France national team and has already netted his first goal for Didier Deschamps’s side.
The former Real Madrid midfielder is yet to make an appearance for Mikel Arteta’s side in any competition so far this season.
Mesut Ozil has been making the most of the time-off at his disposal after being left out of the Gunners’ squad for the early months of the 2020/21 campaign.
The 32-year-old playmaker, who rakes in £350,000 per week before taxes, has been busy over the past few weeks poking fun at the Gunners’ rivals in London, giving team selection advice to Joachim Low and announcing the launch of his various commercial ventures.
And the latest attempt by the midfielder to initiate debate with his 25m followers involved him asking people to name their dream five-a-side team, using only one active player from each country, with the former Los Blancos also naming his side.
Ozil’s dream five-a-side team includes Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon in goal, Real Madrid star Marcelo at the back, former Tottenham player Luka Modric in midfield, with Manchester United superstar Marcus Rashford and Karim Benzema up front.
