Arsenal team manager Emery has confirmed that Mohamed Elneny and Shkodran Mustafi are free to leave while the summer transfer window is still open in many European leagues. Both players did not get a lot of playing time under Emery in the 2018/19 season. And it appears that this is not going to change in 2019/20.

Emery said he wants everyone to be happy playing for Arsenal, exactly knowing their position in the squad. Mustafi and Elneny were less than pleased when left out of the starting XI in the first EPL match.

Back in 2017, Arsenal signed Mustafi from Valencia for a fee of around £35 million. The Arsenal boss continued that he spoke with them many times. He confirmed he indicated to them that they are free to leave for another club where they can enjoy, be happy, and successfully continue their careers.

The former PSG manager further said that the players might continue to train with the Arsenal squad. But they would know their situation well, wishing them all the best for the future.

New signings paved the way for Mustafi and Elneny

Arsenal made a couple of signings this summer. The gunners secured the services of players such as Nicolas Pepe, Dani Ceballos, and David Luiz. New signings usually mean the departure of older ones, and that's exactly what Unai is trying to achieve by permitting the duo to leave.

Arsenal lured Elneny away from FC Basel in January 2016, when Arsène Wenger was in charge at the Emirates. The Egyptian was linked to Crystal Palace during this summer. The gunners have a couple of options for Elneny's position including Lucas Torreira and Dani Ceballos.

Departure of Elneny and Mustafi would result in players such as Torreira and Sokratis getting more playing time. The gunners have some difficult fixtures coming up as they will face Liverpool and Tottenham before the international break.

The Arsenal defence is perceived to be the main area where the clubs needs improvement. Signing of David Luiz from Chelsea on the Premier League deadline day may be seen as a reflection of that. The North London side started the Premier League season with two wins in a row conceding only one goal.

Navas eyeing a move to PSG

Goalkeeper Keylor Navas of Real

Real Madrid's long-time goalkeeper Navas may be closer to a move to Paris Saint-Germain. The player has informed his employer that he wants to leave the club immediately, Marca reports

Keylor Navas was the first choice goalkeeper before the arrival of Thibaut Courtois. After that, the 32-year-old spent most of the time on the bench. Navas is set to leave Bernabéu as he looks for the first-team opportunities. He may also be part of a Neymar deal with other players involved in the agreement, as well.

Real Madrid signed Navas back in 2014 after his excellent performance in the World Cup. The Costa Rican replaced club legend Iker Casillas and took the #1 jersey. From 2015 to 2018, Navas started in most of the games, but in 2018-19, he was in the starting XI only ten times.

It seems that Navas' time at Real is coming to an end. Thomas Tuchel - the current PSG manager - is keen on having more goalkeeping alternatives. And if Neymar decides to move to Madrid, Navas may be part of a big package of players to change clubs.
