Arsenal offered world class striker, Werder Bremen’s winger on Liverpool’s radar and Jadon Sancho transfer latest

With Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang yet to agree a new contract with the club, Arsenal have been offered the golden opportunity to swap him with Icardi in the summer transfer window.

Inter Milan are ready to offer Mauro Icardi as a part of a swap deal to Arsenal that would involve Pierre Emerick Aubameyang moving the other way around.

Tuttosport claims that the Milanese club are wary of keeping the player on their books after their relationship with him and his wife Wanda Nara turned sour last summer.

Icardi was plying his trade with reigning French champions Paris Saint-Germain before the French top-flight season was halted and eventually suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The French side, who had signed the 27-year-old on a season-long loan last summer, had the option to turn his stay at the club into a permanent one. Their decision to not do that means that Icardi would return to Inter in the summer.

The reigning European champions are reportedly in the market in search of a striker that could provide back up to their talismanic front-three next season.

Liverpool are interested in securing the summer transfer of Wolfsburg striker Milot Rashica and may get the Kosovan international for as little as £13m if his club are relegated from Germany’s top-tier before June 15.

The Reds are still keen to secure the service of RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner but have decided to wait and assess the financial impact of coronavirus on their finances before making any move for the German who has his heart set on a move to Anfield.

However, if German outlet Bild [via Daily Mail] is to be believed, the reason why Jurgen Klopp’s side have suddenly cooled their interest in Werner might be that they have set their sights on his Wolfsburg counterpart Rashica.

The 23-year-old, who is also attracting interest from fellow Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig and Premier League side Southampton, has seven goals in 20 top-flight appearances this season.

Amid reports that Manchester United are fully confident of securing the signing of the England international, Sky Sport claims that it isn’t exactly the case.

Sky Sports are reporting that Borussia Dortmund are expecting Jadon Sancho to be still at the club when the next season kicks off.

However, quoting one source close to the England international, the respectable news outlet also claim that Sancho still expects to be on the move in the summer and is highly unlikely to extend his current deal with the Bundesliga giants beyond 2022.

Sancho has been the subject of transfer interest from Manchester United over the past few months, with multiple news outlets claiming that the Red Devils are preparing a £100m offer that would allow them to meet Dortmund’s valuation of their prized asset.

But with the economic effect of the coronavirus on the club’s finances still a matter of conjecture, it remains to be seen whether United do have the financial muscle to spend big at a time when other clubs are unwilling to loosen their purse strings.
