The Gunners are ready to splash the cash in the January transfer window to strengthen the hand of Mikel Arteta in his attempts to turn the club’s fortunes around.
Arsenal are ready to offer Granit Xhaka plus £40m to Leicester City for the services of defensive midfielder Wilfried Ndidy, as per Leicestershire Live.
Xhaka, 28, was named as the Gunners’ captain earlier this season but has since fallen out of favor at the Emirates and is reportedly on his way out of the club.
The Swiss midfielder’s stock fell at the club after he told the team’s fans to ‘f**k off* following his substitution during Arsenal’s home clash with Crystal Palace in October.
While most fans and neutrals were expecting the 28-year-old to apologize for his behavior, he doubled down by aiming his anger at the fans in an Instagram post in which the Swiss also explained the reasons for his emotional outburst.
