Bayern Munich set to bid for Championship star, Tottenham target two more signings and more transfer news

After Ajax right-back Sergino Dest snubbed them for Barcelona, the reigning European champions have turned their attentions to the Norwich City full-back.

Bayern Munich are considering submitting another offer for Norwich City full-back Max Aarons after the Canaries rejected their earlier offer of an initial loan with an option to buy, per Daily Mail.

Hansi Flick’s side were previously interested in Ajax right-back Sergino Dest who snubbed them for La Liga giants Barcelona. The American national has already agreed terms with the Catalan outfit and will undergo a medical with the club in the coming days.

Aarons was previously on Barcelona’s transfer radar as well, with former sports director Eric Abidal reportedly keen on bringing the 20-year-old to the Camp Nou. However, the departure of Abidal from the Camp Nou has led to Barca cooling their interest in the youngster.

But despite the fact that the Catalan outfit have decided against pursuing the signing of Aarons, Bayern remain far from being the only side interested in his signature, with Serie A giants AC Milan and Roma also reportedly keeping tabs on the full-back.

Jose Mourinho’s side have already spent more than €60m on bringing the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojberg, Matt Doherty and Sergio Reguilon to North London.

Tottenham Hotspur are targeting signings of a centre-half and a striker before the closure of summer transfer window next month, reports Sky Sports.

The North London club have seen their negotiations with Inter Milan over the potential signing of Milan Skriniar stall over the past few days. Antonio Conte’s side value the centre-half at around €t60m while Spurs are only offering about €30m.

Ligalive had reported a few days ago that Skriniar would prefer a move to the Premier League outfit if Tottenham could strike an agreement with the Nerazzurri over the transfer fee. But Spurs are reportedly after a deal that would see them sign the 25-year-old on an initial season-long loan deal.

Spurs’ search for a new striker has also taken another turn with The Telegraph reporting that they could make a bid for Bournemouth’s Joshua King over the next few days, with Mourinho previously insisting that his side need a new centre-forward to lower the goalscoring burden on Harry Kane.

The Sun further reports that the 20-year-old striker, who is way down the pecking order at Liverpool, is also attracting interest from Crystal Palace.

Sheffield United have launched an improved £17m bid for Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster and will allow the 20-year-old to go back to the Merseyside for the 2020/21 campaign.

Blades manager Chris Wilder has convinced his side’s higher-ups to launch another offer for the Liverpool starlet after his side went three Premier League games without a goal.

And United are also willing to accept Jurgen Klopp’s side’s demand that they set a £40m buy-back clause for the youngster who impressed during his loan stay at Swansea City last season.

Brewster made 22 appearances in all competitions for the Swans during the 2019/20 season and managed to score 11 goals for Steve Cooper’s side before his return to Anfield earlier this summer.
