Chelsea keeping tabs on Juventus forward, Wolves’ star on Liverpool’s transfer shortlist and more news

Despite spending over €200m on new signings this summer, the Stamford Bridge outfit are ready to splash big on the Italian forward in the 2021 summer transfer window.

Chelsea are paying close attention to Paulo Dybala’s uncertain situation at Juventus and might make a move for the Italian should his contract talks with the Serie A champions fail.

Frank Lampard’s side were the busiest of English sides in the transfer market this summer, with the Blues completing the big-money signings of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell, but it appears that they aren’t done just yet.

Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb reports that having failed in their previously unknown bid to acquire Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan – after the 23-year-old made it known that he’d only leave Italy for Real Madrid or Barcelona, the Stamford Bridge outfit have now set their eyes on Dybala.

The 26-year-old Italian is currently in the last two years of his contract with Juventus, and while he is currently in talks with the Old Lady over a contract extension, Chelsea are monitoring his situation closely and might make their move if the negotiations falter.

The reigning Premier League champions haven’t started their title defense really well and might make a move for the Wolves forward in January.

Liverpool have placed Wolves and Spain forward Adama Traore on their transfer shortlist, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 24-year-old muscular winger made his debut for the Spanish national team this week and is valued at around £60m by Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Traore was one of the star performers for Wolves last season as he completed more take-ons than any other player in the English top-flight.

Jurgen Klopp’s side also have an experience of dealing with Wolves in the recent past as they have only recently completed the £41m signing of Diogo Jota from the Molineux residents.

Pressure is on the Manchester United manager after his team managed a single victory in their first three games of the 2020/21 Premier League season.

Massimilano Allegri is in the frame to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United’s manager, per The Express.

The former Juventus manager has been out of work since leaving the Old Lady on the expiry of his contract in the summer of 2019. His five-year spell at Allianz Stadium was highly successful for Juve as the club clinched five successive Serie A titles under the 53-year-old.

United have struggled for consistency since the start of ongoing season and have managed just 3 points from their opening three Premier League games. The Red Devils also have a poor defensive record as they have already shipped in 11 goals in the English top-flight.

Provided their poor start to the new season continues, United would first try and attempt to hire Mauricio Pochettino, with Allegri being lined up as an alternative to the former Tottenham manager.
