Chelsea ready to listen to Boga offers, David Luiz’s uncertain future and more

The Premier League giants are all but set to cash in on the Ivorian’s talents this summer with a number of sides interest in the Sassuolo loanee, including his current club.

Jeremie Boga has had something of a breakthrough in top football since joining Sassuolo on loan in 2018, making 48 league appearances, amassing a tally of 11 goals from the wing. As a result, the Blues have received multiple calls from top Serie A sides and are currently in talks with Sassuolo over a first opinion on a future sale. This deal would see the Serie A side purchase Boga’s services for a certain fee.

Things have developed quickly, with Chelsea directors already reaching an accord with Boga’s current club. After that, it’ll be up to the player and the club to decide the best step for his career. Napoli and Roma have been mentioned as the former Rennes and Granada loanee’s potential next destinations.

As reported by GoalNapoli have already stepped up their interest with a first proposal, but nothing is carved in stone yet, with Sassuolo ready to put up a fight in order to keep their jewel for at least one more season.

The Brazilian defender has established himself this season at the heart of the Gunners defence, but has already seen his future thrown into doubt following his club’s indecision on a contract proposal.

David Luiz may well be facing a an early Arsenal goodbye after his club are currently reviewing their options at the back and therefore reluctant to make rash decisions. They have an option which will allow them to automatically extend Luiz’s contract for one more season, but are prepared to take their time in doing so.

David Luiz, who has regularly been criticized for being prone to errors on one occasion too many, has already made 25 league appearances for Mikel Arteta’s side and seemed to have found his stride prior to the pandemic break.

As per several reports, it still remains to be seen what Arsenal’s next move will be, with William Saliba set to arrive from Saint Etienne in the summer and on-loan Pablo Mari also representing an interesting and cheaper alternative to David Luiz.
