Chelsea star suffering painful headaches, Man Utd ace’s sleep problem and Real Madrid eyeing PL star

Frank Lampard’s side have conceded only four goals in the eight games the former PSG star has started for them across all competitions this season.

Chelsea star Thiago Silva has revealed that the Premier League’s high pace of play has led to him suffering painful headaches after games.

The 36-year-old Brazilian centre-back, who moved to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer over the summer, has used the wealth of experience under his belt to plug the Chelsea defense that was leaking goals before his arrival in London.

However, while his presence in their starting eleven has undoubtedly helped the Blues make the most of their summer signings, it has also taken a physical toll from Silva who spent much of his career playing in Italian and French top-flights.

‘After my last two games, I’ve had a terrible headache because there are non-stop aerial duels and a very high pace of play,’ he said while on international duty with Brazil, before lamenting about the volume of games players have to play in a fixture-packed 2020/21 campaign.

After enjoying an excellent start to the new campaign, the England international has struggled in recent weeks to earn his place in the Red Devils’ starting eleven.

Manchester United are concerned about the lifestyle of Mason Greenwood and believe his attitude has contributed to the player’s slump in form in recent weeks, per Daily Mail.

The Red Devils are reportedly unhappy over the amount of sleep the teenager is getting and believe it isn’t enough for him to stay in the condition required to perform in the English top-flight.

Greenwood wasn’t a part of the United side that recorded a 3-1 victory at Everton on Sunday, with the Red Devils citing illness as the reason behind the forward’s absence.

However, reports claim that the player was pulled out of matchday squad after his below-par performance in the last training session before the weekend’s game, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer subsequently speaking with England manager Gareth Southgate to let the player train at Carrington during the int’l break.

The Aston Villa captain attracted transfer interest from Manchester United over the summer before his side’s high-valuation of Grealish forced the Red Devils to turn their attentions elsewhere.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has set his sights on Jack Grealish after the Aston Villa midfielder’s superb start to the new season, per Don Balon.

The 25-year-old England international was on the transfer radar of Manchester United over the summer, with Solskjaer reportedly a huge fan of the midfielder. However, after United refused to meet Villa’s high-valuation of their prized asset, Grealish ended up signing a new five-year contract at Villa Park.

He has shown with his form over the past few months that a failed move to the Red Devils hasn’t had any impact on his form, with Grealish accumulating five goals and another five assists in only 8 Premier League games so far this season.

The Spanish publication linking Madrid with a move for the Villa star states that his stats have impressed Madrid president Perez who has refused to rule out the possibility of La Liga champions meeting the player’s €80m release clause.
