The Stamford Bridge outfit are eager to bring in the German midfielder when the summer transfer window opens at the end of the campaign.
The Mirror, meanwhile, reports that the 21-year-old Germany international has a formal agreement in place with the Bundesliga outfit that he can leave the club if their valuation of the midfielder is met.
Chelsea are reportedly ready to meet Leverkusen’s €100m asking price of the Germany star and they are the only club who are willing to pay that much for the midfielder. The Stamford Bridge outfit will pay €70m of that fee up front with another €30m in bonuses.
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid were also interested in securing the services of Havertz but they both sought to complete the deal next year. Liverpool, the other potential suitors of the player, have reportedly dialed down their pursuit of him after they came to know his price tag.
Juventus have given Chelsea a choice to select one of two players from their squad to complete the signing of Blues’ defensive midfielder Jorginho.
The former Napoli midfielder, who Maurizio Sarri brought alongside him to Chelsea after he joined the club following his three-year managerial spell at Naples, is valued extremely highly by the Italian manager who wants the 28-year-old to play under him next season.
Tuttosport claims that the Old Lady are ready to offer either Adrien Rabiot or Aaron Ramsey as part of a player-plus-cash deal to secure the signing of the deep-lying playmaker.
The Blues are in a healthy transfer position after they didn’t sign any players during the previous transfer windows due to a transfer ban but they might still have to sell players to raise funds.
Frank Lampard’s side are in the midst of a major transfer overhaul that has seen the club complete the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner from Ajax and RB Leipzig, respectively.
Manchester United might find the field wide open for the signing of Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake as Chelsea have decided against re-signing the Netherlands international
The Blues have been excellent going forward this season but their defense has been below par as only Burnley have let in more goals than Frank Lampard’s side among clubs currently in the top half of the Premier League.
However, despite their poor defensive form, The Telegraph reports that Chelsea have decided against bringing Ake back to Stamford Bridge. Lampard is reportedly looking to strengthen in other areas, particularly in the midfield, with the Englishman passing up the chance to reunite with Ake.
Ake spent seven years as a Chelsea player before being sold to Bournemouth for £20m in 2017. His stay at the club was marked with various loan spells as the 25-year-old made only seven league appearances for the Blues before his permanent move to the South West of England.
