David Alaba set conditions for Chelsea transfer

The 28-year-old centre-back is on the verge of leaving Bayern Munich after he was unable to reach a contract renewal agreement with the Bavarian outfit.

David Alaba has told his potential suitors, including Chelsea, the conditions that will allow them to complete his signing on a free transfer next summer, per Eurosport.

The 28-year-old centre-back is set to leave Bayern Munich after seeing his contract renewal negotiations with the club getting nowhere. Bayern reportedly wanted the Austrian to extend his stay at Allianz Arena but were unwilling to meet his ‘unrealistic’ wage demands.

Frank Lampard’s side, who completed the signing of Thiago Silva on a free transfer this summer, have been installed as favorites to do the same with the Alaba next summer. However, if Eurosport is to be believed, the player won’t come cheap for the Blues.

The Stamford Bridge will have to pay the veteran centre half a huge weekly wage, a significant fee to his representative and a sizable signing-on fee to the player himself  to land him on a Bosman before the start of next season.
