Eden Hazard has told his friends that Real Madrid should try and sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante in the upcoming transfer window.

The Spanish side saw a major overhaul in the summer as they spent over 300million to bring in the likes of Hazard, Ferland Mandy, Eder Militao and Luka Jovic.

Despite spending so much to strengthen the squad, Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane wasn’t particularly happy with the transfer business of the club. The former French international wanted his bosses at the Santiago Bernabeu to try and bring-in Paul Pogba from Manchester United,  a move which didn’t materialize.

There was also a lack-luster push by the 13-time European Champions to bring in Neymar , though lack of serious effort meant that they were never close to signing the Brazilian striker.

However, if new signing Eden Hazard is to be believed, the Los Blancos should shift their focus to London to try and sign the former Leicester midfielder N’Golo Kante.

According to a news report by The Athletic, Hazard has told his friends that it is N’Golo Kante who the Los Blancos should try and sign in the coming months.

Kante, 28, has been a revelation ever since Leicester City signed plucked him from the lower leagues in France to let the French midfielder showcase his talent in the Premier League.

In his first season in England, the French World Cup winner was a linchpin of the Leicester squad that defied the odds to win the 1st Premier League title in its history.

His performances at the King Power Stadium didn’t go notice as just a few months after leading Leicester to the title, Kante was signed by Chelsea for a reported fee of £32 million.

Just as he did back in Leicester, Kante was one of the major reasons why Chelsea ended up winning the Premier League title during his first season at Stamford Bridge. Ever since, the Frenchman has been a crucial player for all three Chelsea managers who have managed the club during his time in London.

How will Kante fit-in at Real Madrid?

Due to his consistent performances over the last 4 seasons in England, Kante has proved himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in the game, a position where Real Madrid is struggling for the past year.

With Toni Kroos on the wrong side of 30 and Casemiro never able to touch the heights many expected him to, Kante can be a perfect choice for the Los Blancos for years to come.

Despite his diminutive size, Kante, who is nicknamed as ‘The Rat‘ by his French national team colleagues due to the work he puts in on the pitch, the 28-year-old is never afraid of going into a tackle nor does he let opposing midfielders get pass him with ease.

Also, since he has already played with Eden Hazard, there’s a good chemistry between the duo which Real Madrid can exploit to further increase their attacking prowess in front of the opposition’s goal.

However, with Chelsea under a transfer ban until next summer and Kante signing a new long-term contract with the club on last November, Real Madrid fans would find it difficult to lure the Frenchman away from London.
