Eriksen determined to fight at Inter, Nainggolan’s smoking habit revealed and more

The Danish midfielder joined the Nerazzurri during the winter transfer window and is eager to fight for his place and become a key member of the Inter squad.

Christian Eriksen spent 7 years at Tottenham before making the move to Serie A this January. He has already made 4 Serie A appearances but his settling in has been abruptly halted by the ongoing pandemic break.

He appears to be eager on making a mark at the Giuseppe Meazza, reaffirming his intentions of breaking through in the first-team, having started just one league game to date. “My love for the game is what brought me here, and with the motivation that I have, I look forward to pushing on and playing more and more.”

He also quashed transfer speculation linking him with a move away from Inter: “My future lies here, so I do not intend of jumping ship so soon.”

The Cagliari star would go to great lengths to ensure his smoking habit is indulged, a former teammate at Roma has revealed.

Radja Nainggolan would leave the dressing room and go with one of the coaches to smoke, Leandro Castan claims. The Belgian midfielder spent 4 years at Stadio Olimpico, making 138 Serie A apperances and scoring 26 goals, many of which stunners.

He is now plying his trade at Cagliari, having returned on loan from Inter and a former teammate of his says that his off-field exploits often helped paint a villanous picture of him. “I think Radja is a great player, he always was, but wherever he went, controversy wasn’t too far away,” Castan explained to Goal.

“He always did what he wanted to do, and didn’t care what other people say. I enjoyed playing with him and he always gave 100 percent during matches and on the training field.”

The Spaniard also confessed that he was left dismayed at the way how his current side won the league title, while saying that irreconcilable differences with the Manchester United hierarchy was the main reason he left.

Ander Herrera revealed that he was less than impressed with the decision to end the season and award PSG the Ligue 1 title, stating that he would have preferred to fight for it on the field, along with his teammates.

He also shared a part of his 5-year stay at the Theater of Dreams, stressing that he thoroughly enjoyed his time there, having lifted the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and the Europa League with the Red Devils.

“This was not how I imagined winning my first league title in France. To be perfectly honest, I didn’t even celebrate and I felt a bit empty. We are footballers and our place is on the pitch, but unfortunately the circumstances did not allow us to finish the season,” he spoke to ESPN.
