Everton transfer news: Toffees make enquiry for former Tottenham midfielder

Inter Milan considering offering Christian Eriksen to Arsenal in swap deal for midfielder

Inter Milan CEO confirmed last month that the star midfielder, who only joined the club last January, will be sold in the ongoing month.

Everton have inquired about the availability of out-of-favor Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen, reports SempreInter.

The former Tottenham midfielder hasn’t been able to perform at his best since joining Antonio Conte’s side at the start of 2020. He has scored only 4 goals for the Serie A runners up despite making over 35 appearances for the club in all competitions over the past month.

However, despite his poor form in Italy – which has seen Eriksen spend the majority of his time on the bench, the playmaker isn’t short of admirers across Europe, with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund one of many clubs reportedly interested in the player’s signature.

Ligalive reported in November that Eriksen, who joined Inter only last January, has been offered to Arsenal by the Serie A outfit. That report was followed by the club’s CEO confirming that Inter will allow Eriksen to switch clubs in January.

The main reason why Everton might be confident of landing Eriksen is the star appeal of their manager. Carlo Ancelotti has previously used his charisma to convince James Rodrigues to leave Real Madrid for Everton and might do the same with Eriksen.
