Manchester United were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by 10-man Southampton as the Red devils failed to make their early lead count for the 2nd game in a row.

Despite starting the game on the back foot, the Red devils found themselves in front after a curling Daniel James strike ended up in the back of Southampton net at the 10th minute mark.

Unable to make their lead count, United were punished for their profligacy in the 2nd half when Southampton defender Jannik Vestergaard rose the highest to dunk a header past David de Gea to level the scoreline.

Late on in the game, United were handed a lifeline when Saints right-back Danso received a deserved 2nd yellow for a clumsy tackle on Mason Greenwood. However, as the final score line suggests, the Red devils were unable to make their 1-man advantage count.

After a summer which saw United not signing a striker to replace the departing Lukaku, patience is wearing thin among the Manchester United faithful after a string of early season draws.

Here’s how they reacted to their team’s lack luster performance at the St. Mary’s Stadium:

Amid all the doom and gloom that currently surrounds the club, some fans were quick to praise new signing Daniel James for putting in yet another brilliant performance.

The 21-year-old winger was by far the best player for Red devils and made his mark on the game by opening the scoring on the 10th minute mark. His today’s goals mean that the Welsh forward has 3 goals in his first four league appearances for Red devils.

As a result of his performances, there was nothing but praise  for the former Swansea City forward:
