How Chelsea and Man City might line-up in Sunday’s heavyweight clash

How Chelsea and Man City might line-up in Sunday’s heavyweight clash. Preview, Chelsea vs. Manchester City

Pep Guardiola claimed that his team wanted to play against Everton as they had enough first-team players available for Goodison Park visit.

Pep Guardiola will be without Kyle Walker, Gabriel Jesus and couple more for Sunday’s visit to Stamford Bridge.

Despite growing COVID-19 cases at both clubs, weekend’s heavyweight Premier League clash between Chelsea and Manchester City is on, with City having more troubles than the Blues as five first-team players aren’t available for Pep including defender Kyle Walker and striker Gabriel Jesus.

However, Ilkay Gundogan is expected to return after a minor foot injury while Eric Garcia will undergo a late fitness test.

On the other hand, Reece James remains unavailable to Frank Lampard, but Hakim Ziyech has joined the Blues squad and can make an instant impact from the bench for lackluster Chelsea on Sunday evening.

Chelsea will be keen to kick-off 2021 with a win following their poor run of form which saw the Blues winning just one of their last five league games.

While Man City, who saw their Monday’s outing to Everton postponed due to surge in COVID-19 cases, will look to register their third successive PL win.

How both teams might line-up?

Expected Chelsea Line-up: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Thiago, Chilwell; Kante, Kovacic, Mount; Werner, Abraham, Pulisic

Expected Man City Line-up: Ederson; Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Zinchenko; Rodri, Fernandinho; Mahrez, De Bruyne, Sterling; Aguero
