How Chelsea could line up against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Frank Lampard’s side are coming into the clash with Wolves following their 1-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park over the weekend.

Chelsea will be looking to go level on points with Premier League leaders Tottenham with a victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday night.

The Blues’ 1-0 defeat at Everton over the weekend, which was their first in the English top-flight since September, didn’t cost them dearly after Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester City, and Manchester United all ended up dropping points in their respective games.

However, with Jurgen Klopp’s side going head to head with Jose Mourinho’s Spurs on Wednesday, Chelsea have the opportunity to close the three-point gap that has opened up between them and the top of the Premier League table with a victory in West Midlands.

They will be going into Tuesday’s clash as favorites against a Wolves side that has lost three of its last five games in the English top-flight, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s men shipping in seven goals and scoring just three over the course of those five games.

Add to the equation the fact that Wolves are yet to defeat any of last season’s top-six so far this season, and Lampard has every reason to go into this game confident of wrapping up all three points. Here’s how Chelsea could line up against Wolverhampton Wanderers:

Possible Chelsea lineup Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers: Mendy; James, Zouma, Silva, Chilwell; Kante, Jorginho, Mount; Havertz, Giroud, Werner
