Both the sides are level on points at the top of the Premier League table
The Premier League leaders face the reigning Champions when Tottenham Hotspur travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on Wednesday night.
Liverpool will be aiming to keep their hundred percent home record intact when Tottenham Hotspur visit the Merseyside on Wednesday night.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have won all six of their home games in the Premier League season, scoring 18 and conceding only six goals during that time. They are the only side in the English top-flight who could boast that record as Southampton, the side with the 2nd best home record, have won 4 of their six games.
Aside from their formidable form at Anfield in the ongoing campaign, the Reds also boast the record of not being beaten on home soil for more than three years, with their last defeat in the Premier League in front of their fans coming way back in April 2017.
However, despite all these indicators pointing towards a Liverpool victory on Wednesday, no Reds’ faithful is under any illusion that their side’s Wednesday’s clash with Jose Mourinho’s Spurs is going to be an incredibly stern test of their credentials.
Spurs are coming into this game as league leaders and they have already seen the better of Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal this season. The excellent form of their attacking duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min will also keep the injury-hit Reds’ backline in check.
Here’s how Liverpool could line up against Tottenham Hotspur: Alisson; Arnold, Matip; Fabinho, Robertson; Henderson, Wijnaldum, Jones; Salah, Firmino Mane
