Hurdles in Lautaro Martinez’ move to Barca, Dortmund star kicked out of nightclub and more

Amid reports that Barcelona have agreed personal terms with the 22-year-old Argentina international, two issues need to be resolved for the move to happen.

Barcelona need to agree on a transfer fee with Inter Milan for striker Lautaro Martinez and have to sell one of their players to balance the books for the Argentine to join the Catalan outfit this summer, reports Marca.

The Spanish news publication further adds that Inter are demanding €120m to give the 22-year-old permission to join the Camp Nou giants. Barca are reportedly willing to pay €50m of that amount in the form of cash, with the rest made up of two players whom the club will offer in exchange.

Recent reports have claimed that the chances of Martinez’ move to Barca looked slim after the €111m release clause in his Inter contract expired. However, Quique Setien’s side never had plans to pay that amount as they first have to make room for the striker by selling one of their stars.

Furthermore, while it isn’t fully clear at the time which of Barca players would move to Stadio Guiseppe Meazza in exchange of Martinez’ transfer to the Camp Nou, full-back Nelson Semedo and midfielder Ivan Rakitic might be the ones heading the exit door.

After the 2019/20  Bundesliga season finished last month, the former Red Bull Salzburg striker went on a holiday in his native Norway.

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland was reportedly kicked out of a nightclub in his native Norway, as footage has emerged appearing to show the Norway international being bounced out of a club in his country.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a spectacular half-season in Bundesliga after his €20 million move from Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg to Dortmund in January. He scored 13 goals in 15 German top-flight appearances to help Lucian Favre’s side finish 2nd in the table.

Chelsea transfer news: Havertz deal edges towards completion

Only a few days after it was reported that Chelsea are moving forward to secure the signing of the Germany international, their hopes of landing him have suffered a potentially mortal blow.

Chelsea’s hopes of landing Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz in the summer transfer window have been dealt a blow after they lost 3-0 to Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.

German journalist Christian Falk has claimed that the Blues would need to qualify for next season’s Champions League for them to convince Havertz to join the club.

The Head of Football at Bild Sport further added that one of the reasons why the 20-year-old is eager to leave Bayer Arena is Leverkusen’s failure to qualify for Europe’s premier club competition.

However, with Chelsea’s hopes of securing a Champions League place also in doubt after they were embarrassed by Chris Wilder’s men on Saturday, their push for the Real Madrid and Bayern Munich transfer target might soon be in tatters.
