Inter Milan set €80m price for PSG transfer target, Juventus agree fee for defender and more

The 2019/20 Ligue 1 champions were hoping to prise the defender away but Inter’s astronomical valuation of the 25-year-old might well have put them off.

Inter Milan have reportedly told Paris Saint-Germain that it would take an offer around €80m for them to give away the services of Milan Skriniar.

The 25-year-old defender, who has been a rock in the heart of Inter’s defense this season, has been on the transfer radar of the French giants who want him to replace Thiago Silva at the Parc des Princes. The Brazilian defender is set to leave the club after eight years once his contract expires later this month.

However, while PSG were keen to reunite Skriniar with his former teammate Mauro Icardi who has completed his €50m switch to Thomas Tuchel’s side, Inter’s astronomical valuation of the center-half might force them to pursue other transfer targets.

Tuttosport further reports that the Nerazzurri boss Antonio Conte wants to retain the Slovakian at the club and build his side around him next season.

The 20-year-old center-half might not be a household name across Europe but has attracted interest from various top clubs with his performances for Hellas Verona this season.

Juventus have agreed a € 32m deal with Hellas Veroa for defender Marash Kumbulla, with La Stampa in Italy reporting that the 20-year-old is set to put pen on paper with the Old Lady when the summer transfer window reopens later this month.

Kumbulla is an aggressive center-back who has reportedly attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal , Chelsea , Manchester United , Inter Milan and Lazio. His style of play sees the Albania international play at the front-foot, with the center-back's ability to dispossess his opponents also earning him plaudits.

The 6'1 '' defender is also one of the main reason why Verona, who were promoted to the Italian top-flight at the end of last season, have risen to eighth place in the league table. His performances for Ivan Juric's side have also helped I Gialloblu take points off of Juventus and Lazio during the ongoing campaign.

His ability to turn defensive situations into attacking ones by making interceptions midway through the opposition’s gameplay has also helped Kumbulla attract the interest of almost the entirety of Serie A. Little wonder, then, that Juventus are paying €32m for him only a year after they brought in Matthijs de Ligt for a hefty transfer fee from Ajax.

Top News 3: Brescia to terminate Mario Balotelli’s contract

Even after the lockdown restrictions were eased in Italy and top-flight clubs were allowed to train with full squads, the Italy international has missed several training sessions with the club.

Brescia have served written notice to Mario Balotelli to unilaterally terminate the former Liverpool and Man City striker’s contract with the Serie A minnows.

Multiple reports in Italy claim that Brescia are reportedly unhappy over the striker’s behavior and his inability to appear during several training sessions that the club had organized over the past few weeks.

Corriere di Brescia reports that after going AWOL initially, Balotelli presented a medical note to the club to demand excuse for six more days stating that he was suffering from stomach flu. That was reportedly the final straw for the club which has since then offered the 29-year-old a consensual termination.

Balotelli refuse to accept that option after which Brescia sent a letter to his lawyer saying that they have enough grounds to unilaterally terminate his contract.
