Real Madrid midfielder Isco has taken a dig at manager Zinedine Zidane after not being given much game time in recent weeks.
The 28-year-old Spain international is yet to play full 90 minutes for Los Blancos this season and wasn’t involved in his side’s 3-2 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League as well as Saturday night’s victory over Barcelona in El Clasico.
“If [Zidane] has to take me off, he takes me off in the 50th or 60th minute, sometimes at half-time,” Isco was reportedly picked up saying to Luka Modric and Marcelo by Movistar TV cameras. “If he has to bring me on, he brings me on in the 80th minute.”
His comments may give hope to Isco’s potential suitors that they could yet strike a deal with Madrid for the Spanish playmaker in the near-future.
AC Milan are reportedly eyeing a shock move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi in the January transfer window with the forward’s wife keen to return to Italy.
Icardi spent seven seasons with Milan’s fierce rivals Inter before moving to Paris on a season-long loan at the start of last season. The 27-year-old impressed by scoring 20 goals in 34 appearances during the 2019/20 campaign and subsequently joined PSG on a four-year deal this summer.
AS reports that the Argentina international, who is yet to feature this season due to the knee injury he picked up before the start of the campaign, is on the transfer radar of Milan and his wife and agent Wanda Nara could arrange for him to return to Italy.
Nara, who started her career as a model before working as a football agent, is reportedly eager to return to Italy and want her children to grow up in Milan as the family is already familiar with the city due to her husband’s long stay at Inter.

The Reds have responded well to Virgil Van Dijk’s season-ending injury by recording back to back victories over Ajax in the Champions League and Sheffield United in the English top-flight.
Jurgen Klopp will be delighted to note that his men haven’t conceded from open play since Van Dijk limped off at Goodison Park last Saturday. And the return to fitness of Alisson Becker gives him the opportunity to nominate a strong line-up on Tuesday night. Here’s how he could set up his side:
