Jurgen Klopp takes side in Ronaldo Vs Messi debate, Man City willing to bin £60m star, Spurs make Tanguy Ndombele decision

While the former Real Madrid and Manchester United midfielder is close to perfection, the Liverpool manager still prefers the Barcelona talisman.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has his say on the Ronaldo Vs Messi debate, with the German preferring the Argentine magician over the Portuguese forward.

Juventus superstar Ronaldo and Messi are considered as two of the greatest footballers of all time, although debate rages on as to which of the two is better.

While the former Borussia Dortmund manager prefers Messi, he also described Ronaldo as a ‘perfect player’, whom he couldn’t admire more than he does already.

Klopp made these comments while giving an interview to YouTube channel freekickerz and also paid tribute to the era of the duo’s dominance which has seen both of them clinch 11 of the past 12 Ballon d’Or trophies.

While speaking to the press ahead of Barcelona vs Juventus clash, Ronald Koeman says it is not appropriate to compare Ronaldo and Messi.

Even though City signed Cancelo for £60m only last summer, they are reportedly ready to move on and sell the right-back to expedite their pursuit of the ‘next Dani Alves’.

Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport are reporting that Manchester City are ready to offload last summer signing Joao Cancelo when the transfer window reopens next month.

Cancelo, 26, became City’s third signing of the 2019 summer transfer window when he left Juventus to join Pep Guardiola’s side in a move that saw City-full back Danilo moving to Italy.

The full-back’s first season in the Premier League hasn’t been up to the mark as he has made only 18 starts for City across all competitions this season, with Guardiola preferring the likes of Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy ahead of him in his matchday squads.

The report claims that City are keen to sell Cancelo because they are hopeful of completing the signing of Barcelona full-back Nelson Semedo afterward. It is reported that Cancelo is expected to join Inter Milan who also signed full-back Ashley Young from City’s fierce rivals Man United in January.

Amid reports that Liverpool have been keeping tabs on the French midfielder, Jose Mourinho’s side have made a decision on the future of the 23-year-old.

Despite news in the past few months claiming to the contrary, Tottenham Hotspur have no intentions of offloading Tanguy Ndombele in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old became the most expensive signing in the Spurs’ history when he completed his €60m switch to the club from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon last summer.

However, while the France international was instrumental for Lyon in his final season in the French top-flight, his maiden season in the Premier League has been average at best.

Repeated injury problems have kept him sidelined for the better part of the first half of the 2019/20 season, with his manager Jose Mourinho criticizing the Frenchman for his fitness problems. Still, if TalkSport are to be believed, Spurs have no intention of letting the midfielder leave the club.
