The midfielder is reportedly furious over the lack of game time and his omission from the Italian giants’ Champions League squad.

Ex-Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is keen to sign for Manchester United after struggling to make his mark at Juventus, as per TuttoSport.

The German midfielder left Anfield to sign for the Old Lady in the summer of 2018 on a free transfer but is already looking for a way out after spending only 1 season at his new club.

Juventus also left out Can from their Champions League squad, a decision which infuriated the player and left his future in Italy in doubt.

Amid the uncertainty regarding the situation of his client, Emre Can’s agent is talking to various clubs to arrange a transfer for the 25-year-old away from Turin.

When the former Liverpool man signed for Juventus last summer, he did so after rejecting multiple offers by the Merseyside club which wanted him to extend his stay in the Premier League.

However, while his first season at his new club went according to plan – as Can managed to make 29 appearances in Serie A – the arrival of Maurizio Sarri from Chelsea has limited the game-time for the defensive midfielder.

The 25-year-old has played only 79 minutes for Juventus in Serie A this season, with all of his 3 appearances for the club coming off the bench.

His future at the reigning Italian champions was thrown into further doubt when Juve omitted Can’s name from the Champions League squad.

And Tuttosport claims that European clubs are showing interest to acquire the services of the German midfielder, with Can himself weighing up a move away from Juventus.

In a report which has the potential to infuriate Liverpool fans who weren’t happy with the manner Can left the club on a free transfer, Tuttosport claims that the player wants to move to Manchester United, his former club’s bitter rivals.

With Paul Pogba looking increasingly likely to leave Old Trafford in the near future, the German midfielder is seen as a potential replacement of the French World Cup winner.

Can himself hasn’t tried to hide his disappointment at being not in the center of manager Maurizio Sarri’s plans, as he hit out at the Italian earlier this month.

"Last season I played a lot. Especially in important games for Juventus. And I also played well there," he said. "I haven't had a chance this season.

Can is expected to watch from the bench as Juventus take on Bologna at the weekend to try and extend their one-point lead at the top of Serie A.
