Koeman draws blacklist at Barca, Juventus want to swap Ronaldo for PSG star, and more news

After telling Luis Suarez and Ivan Rakitic over the summer that they weren’t needed at the club, the Dutch manager is ready to carry out another operation clean up.

Ronald Koeman has drawn up a ‘blacklist’ of players he wants to sell in the upcoming January transfer window, according to Don Balon.

The Barcelona manager has reportedly told third-choice goalkeeper Inaki Pena he’d be leaving the club in January, preferably on a six-month loan to another La Liga side. He has similar feelings about 21-year-old centre-back Raul Araujo who has featured only 9 times for the Camp Nou outfit.

Koeman is also adamant at selling out-of-favor centre-back Samuel Umtiti to the highest bidder when the transfer window reopens in two months’ time, with left-back Junior Firpo another player whose time at the Catalan giants might be up come January.

Other players who the Dutch manager would like to get off Barcelona’s payroll include midfielder Sergi Roberto, youngsters Riqui Puig and Carles Alena, and striker Martin Braithwaite.

Top News 2: Juventus want to swap Ronaldo for Neymar

Reports coming out of Spain indicate that the Old Lady are aware of the Portuguese superstar’s desire to leave the club next summer.

Juventus are exploring the possibility of swapping Cristiano Ronaldo for Neymar at the end of the 2020/21 campaign, per Don Balon.

The Spanish news outlet further claims that the relationship between the Old Lady and their most prized asset has become strained over the past few months, with the Portuguese’s increasing desire to leave the club next summer also increasing his discontent with the Serie A champions.

Andrea Pirlo’s are therefore resigned to the fact that the former Real Madrid forward would leave them at the end of the current season. And they’d like to use the 35-year-old as a bargaining chip in any deal that would see Neymar moving to Turin.

But PSG are reportedly planning on turning the tables on their Italian counterparts by not only blocking their move for Neymar but by also completing an audacious swoop for Ronaldo and pair him alongside the Brazilian in their side in the 2021/22 campaign.

The South Korea international, who is currently the Premier League’s joint-top scorer with eight goals, has three years remaining on his current £140,000-a-week contract.

Tottenham Hotspur are set to start talks with Son Heung-Min over a contract extension that would see the 28-year-old become the highest-paid South Korean player of all-time.

Son has been one of the best performers for Spurs over the last few seasons and is currently their top-scorer and the Premier League’s joint-top scorer with eight goals in as many games of the 2020/21 campaign.

The Guardian reports that Spurs want to reward the 28-year-old for his excellent form by handing him a £200,000-a-week contract that would let the player extend his stay at the North London club beyond 2023, when his current contract with the side is due to expire.

He is reportedly amenable to the idea of dedicating the best years of his career to Spurs after forging a strong relationship with Jose Mourinho. The former Bayer Leverkusen star also enjoys a strong partnership in Spurs’ attack with Harry Kane that has taken the club to 2nd in the table.
