Premier League, Leicester City 2-2 Manchester United
Manchester United took the lead twice but failed to claim all three points in a Boxing Day clash against in-form Leicester.
After an impressive performance against Everton in EFL quarterfinals, Manchester United looked sharp in the early stages against the Foxes and Marcus Rashford spurned a golden opportunity from the point-blank range as he put the header over the crossbar.
However, the Englishman did get United’s opener midway through the first half with a cool finish past Kasper Schmeichel. Eight minutes later, Harvey Barnes drew Leicester level with a thunderous strike from outside the box as both teams went to the break on parity.
The home side started the second half more aggressively, but it was Manchester United who once again took the lead when substitute Edinson Cavani freed Bruno Fernandes in the penalty area, who then slotted home at the far post.
Jamie Vardy, who had a quiet afternoon, restored parity in the 85th-minute as his shot was deflected into the net by Axel Tuanzebe. The draw means Leicester keep the third spot while Manchester United drift down to fourth.
