The 27-year-old Ajax star has attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal over the course of the past few seasons.

Ajax forward Quincy Promes has hinted of a potential future move to the Premier League after starring during his team’s 4-4 draw with Chelsea on Tuesday.

Erik Ten Hag’s side, who at one point were leading the game 4-1, were forced to share the spoils after both its central defenders were sent off within a span of 60 seconds in the 2nd half.

The 27-year-old was one of the stars of the show for the Dutch side as he scored his team’s 2nd goal of the night at Stamford Bridge.

Promes has been linked with a move to Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal in the past, with the player himself refusing to rule out a potential move to England in the future.

When asked whether he’d consider making a switch to the Premier League in the future, Promes was unequivocal in his answer.

“To me, if I have a chance, maybe in the future,” Promes told reporters when quizzed about a potential future transfer to the Premier League.

His answer must have come as a surprise to the Ajax faithful as the Dutch winger only moved back to his native country this summer from Sevilla.

Promes left the La Liga club after just one season in Spain during which he managed to score just 3 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions.

The Dutchman is back to his best in the Eredivise as he has already netted 8 goals in his first 13 appearances for the Dutch champions, including Tuesday night’s strike against Chelsea.

Apart from the highly unimpressive 2018/19 campaign in La Liga, Promes has time and again shown his potential to indicate his usefulness to big European clubs.

Prior to his is move to Spain at the start of last season, the 27-year-old managed to score in double figures in each of his four seasons playing for Russian Premier League outfit Spartak Moscow.

Also, while he did struggle to find his form last season, the return to his native Netherlands has once again rejuvenated the winger, who is once again scoring goals for fun.

His goal-scoring exploits make Promes a brilliant back-up option for Liverpool, who could use the Dutch winger as the back up to Salah and Mane on their bench.

Arsenal, meanwhile, might even end up including Promes in their starting XI, with the potential front-three partnership of the Dutchman, Aubameyang, and Pepe all but guaranteeing goals for the North London club.
