Liverpool receive mixed injury news ahead of Fulham clash

The reigning Premier League champions are going into this game on the back of their morale-boasting 4-0 victory over Wolves last weekend.

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed goalkeeper Alisson Becker will return to Liverpool’s training session on Friday ahead of the Reds’ Sunday’s trip to Fulham, per Goal.

The Liverpool and Brazil No.1 sat out his club’s last two games after suffering a hamstring injury during the Reds’ 1-1 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion last month, with 22-year-old academy graduate Caoimhin Kelleher standing between the sticks in his absence.

However, not all injury news are positive for Liverpool as the club could be without summer signing Diogo Jota on Sunday. The former Wolves’ forward picked up a knock during Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with FC Midtjylland in the Champions League and is a doubt for Sunday’s game.

Klopp also confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has returned to full training after recovering from the knee injury that hasn’t allowed him to make an appearance this season, though the Reds remain without James Milner, Thiago Alcantara and Xherdan Shaqiri for their trip to Fulham.
