According to a report from Spanish newspaper Diario Sport, the Red Devils are battling with Chelsea for the signature of the Spanish wonderkid.

Barcelona have faced enquiries from Man Utd about the availability of 16-year-old La Masia prospect Marc Jurado, with the Red Devils keen to sign the youngster in the summer.

The youngster has caught the eyes of the higher-ups at Old Trafford who emailed their counterparts at the Camp Nou to enquire about whether he’s available for a transfer.

Sport Witness [quoting Diario Sport] has claimed that the young winger is considered as one of the best prospects at Barcelona’s famed academy. The report further claims that the Catalan side are keen to hold on to the player whom they see as a long-term replacement of Ousmane Dembele.

Serie A prepares plan for football resumption

Serie A prepares plan for return of football
The Italian top-flight has been suspended since March 9

Italian football federation president Gabriele Gravina has claimed that the football authorities in Italy are planning to restart the season when ‘the conditions are right’.

In an interview with Sky Italia, the 67-year-old admitted that the federation doesn’t yet know when the ongoing 2019/20 campaign will reach its conclusion. He added that the idea is for football to resume somtime at the start of May.

Daily Mail claims that the plan to resume Serie A from where it was suspended more than a month ago includes regular testing of players for the contagious coronavirus. The plan also entails that no fans will be allowed inside stadiums until 2021.

Serie A is currently following the lead of Bundesliga which allowed its teams to restart player trainings in small, isolated groups last week. However, no date has yet been given by the football authorities in Germany as to when the game will resume there.

Arsenal could fail to off-load Henrikh Mkhitaryan

In another report, Daily Mail has claimed that the £22m valuation Arsenal have set for the Armenian might see no club entering into a bidding war for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The former Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund midfielder was loaned out to Serie A outfit AS Roma on a season-long loan last August.

He has been able to prove his doubters wrong with his performances in the Italian top-flight, with the 31-year-old scoring 6 and assisting 3 goals in eight Serie A starts so far this season.

But despite his impressive performances in the Italian top-flight, the Gunners would have to try and secure another loan deal for Mkhitaryan if they don’t want him to occupy a space on their bench next season, as no club is so far willing to meet their £22m valuation of the midfielder.
