Man Utd want Real Madrid full-back, Tottenham struggle to offload star and Roma bid €12m for defender

In his search for the replacement of Marcos Rojo, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly set his sights on the Europa League winner.

Manchester United are keeping tabs on Sergio Reguilon and may make a move for the Real Madrid left-back in the summer transfer window, reports Manchester Evening News.

The 23-year-old Spaniard was one of the best players for the Sevilla side that lifted the Europa League title last month. His performances for Julian Lopetegui’s side helped Reguilon, who spent the previous season on loan at Roman Sanchez-Pizjuan, attract transfer interest from multiple clubs.

Prior to his move to Sevilla last summer, Reguilon had made 22 appearances in all competitions for Zinedine Zidane’s side. But his future at Santiago Bernabeu is far from certain as Zidane rates Marcelo and Ferland Mendy above Reguilon, who still has three years left on his Madrid contract.

MEN reports that United are one of the sides who are keeping tabs on the left-back’s performances during his time in Seville. The Red Devils may make a move for Reguilon if they receive a sizable bid for Marcos Rojo, whom the Old Trafford club has made available for transfer.

Top News 2: Tottenham struggle to offload Serge Aurier

Following the arrival of Matt Doherty in a £15m transfer from Wolves, Jose Mourinho is keen to offload the former Paris Saint-Germain full-back.

Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer plans of signing a striker are held up by their inability to find a potential suitor for Serge Aurier, as per the Evening Standard.

Aurier has been put up for sale by Spurs who have already brought in former Wolves right-back Matt Doherty as the Ivory Coast international’s replacement at the club. Spurs keenness to get rid of the 27-year-old stems from their need to raise money to sign a new striker.

Both AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen are interested in the right-back who Spurs signed for £23m from PSG three years ago, though neither of the two sides are too keen on paying the full amount that Spurs forked out to sign Aurier in 2017.

Jose Mourinho’s side have already brought in the likes of midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojberg, goalkeeper Joe Hart and Doherty this summer. They have now turned their attention to signing a new striker but have to sell to raise funds for another transfer.

After being impressed with the defender’s performances during his season-long loan stay in Italy, the Serie A outfit are keen to sign Smalling permanently.

Roma have submitted a bid of £12m for Manchester United defender Chris Smalling, with the Serie A outfit are keen to acquire the defender’s services on a permanent basis, reports Goal.

After being eclipsed by the likes of Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, and Eric Bailly in the pecking order at Old Trafford, Smalling was allowed to move to the Stadio Olimpico on a one-year loan at the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

The 30-year-old’s performances during his season-long stay in Italy impressed Roma who are now keen to sign him permanently. Smalling made 37 appearances for Paulo Fonseca’s side last term before United recalled him to prevent the defender from taking part in Roma’s extended Europa League campaign.

It is being reported that United, despite their public proclamations of keeping the defender at the Old Trafford for the upcoming campaign, will be happy to part with his services if their €20m (£18m) valuation of the centre-half is met.
