Maurizio Sarri wants Juventus to sign N’Golo Kante from Chelsea as he looks towards the £70m rated star to add steel to his side’s midfield, reports Daily Mail

Kante, 28, is one of the most in-demand midfielders currently in Europe after performing consistently for club and country over the course of the last four seasons.

The French World Cup-winning midfielder played for 1-season under Sarri at the Stamford Bridge, before the latter decided to say goodbye to English football to assume managerial duties at the Serie A champions.

And now Sarri wants Kante to follow him to the Turin Stadium as he looks to add steel to an already formidable Juventus midfield containing the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Miralem Pjanic and Adrien Rabiot.

The former Chelsea manager believes that the signing of the diminutive Frenchman would make the Juventus midfield department the best in Europe, though he is willing to wait until next summer for the club to sign the 29-year-old.

Sarri won't push Juventus too much

While it has been reported that the Italian manager is a huge admirer of the Chelsea midfielder, it is also understood that he won’t push the club too much to land him Kante.

Throughout his 30-year long managerial career, Sarri has never been the most demanding manager on the transfer front, as he prefers instead to improve the players he already has in his squad.

He doesn’t spend his time talking with agents of potential signings and wants the club to play the front role, though that doesn’t mean that Sarri will be happy if Juventus fail to bring Kante from Chelsea.

During a one-on-one meeting with Juventus legend and current vice-chairman Pavel Nedved, the 60-year-old made clear his admirations for the French midfielder and told his audience that he believes that the addition of Kante would make the Juventus midfield the best in Europe.

Juventus believe that any deal involving Kante would take a transfer fee of at least 70m, and the club are ready to sanction the amount should they are careful that it will bring the Frenchman to Turin.

Will Kante be interested in signing for Juventus?

The Juventus manager has always been a fan of midfielders who continue to press opposition players throughout the game, a quality which Kante has in abundance.

At Chelsea, meanwhile, a youthful revolution is going on as Frank Lampard has already given more game time to youngsters than last four of his predecessors combined.

While Kante is in the plans of the Chelsea manager for now on, the prospect of playing for the Serie A champions and joining his forces with fellow French teammates Blaise Matuidi and Adrien Rabiot might prove too tempting to turn down for the down-to-earth midfielder.

Still, if any move is to materialize in the near future, it won’t be before next summer, at the very least. That’s because both Chelsea and Juventus are currently playing in the Champions League, and with the former also under a transfer ban, it seems unthinkable that Chelsea would let Kante leave for any transfer fee in January.
