Napoli name their asking price for Koulibaly, Man United to step up chase of £75m transfer target and more

The 28-year-old Senegal international is at the heart of Napoli defense that has let in only 36 goals in 26 Serie A matches so far this season.

Napoli aren’t ready to let the COVID-19 pandemic force them to downgrade their valuation of defender Kalidou Koulibaly, states owner Aurelio De Laurentiis.

De Laurentiis, who is famous for his combative personality, told Corriere dello Sport that he will only let the Senegalese leave the club if his valuation of £90m is met.

The 28-year-old defender, who turns 29 on Saturday, has once again been in fine form this season and is linked with several teams across England, France and Spain.

He put in another commanding performance over the weekend as Gennaro Gatusso’s side held Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan to a 1-1 draw and qualified for Tuesday’s Coppa Italia final.

The Man United transfer target has been one of the best performers for Aston Villa this season and may move to the Old Trafford later this summer.

Manchester United are ready to expedite their efforts to sign Jack Grealish after being told Jadon Sancho won’t be leaving the Bundesliga this summer, reports The Mirror.

The Red Devils had identified Sancho as their number one transfer target for the summer but have reportedly been told by his current side Borussia Dortmund that the England international would be staying put at Signal Iduna Park for at least one more season.

Sancho still hasn’t given up of securing his dream move to Old Trafford but will only consider signing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side if they qualify for next season’s Champions League.

United find themselves three points behind 4th place Chelsea ahead of Premier League’s restart later this weekend, though, they might not have to finish in the top four to play in the Champions League next season if Man City’s two-year competition ban is upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The 30-year-old forward, who will be turning 31 on Thursday, is yet to sign an extension on the contract he signed with the Gunners upon his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2018.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is ‘pretty positive’ that star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will sign a contract extension with the North London club.

The Gabonese international’s current deal with the Gunners is set to come to an end next summer, with rumors claiming that the 30-year-old is already attracting interest from a number of top European clubs.

Aubameyang’s 2-year-and-ongoing stay at the Emirates Stadium has been a huge success for the former Dortmund forward, with only Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah managing more goals (51) than him (49) in the Premier League during that period.
