The Brazilian superstar declared himself fit to play following the latest injury troubles which kept him out of action for at almost two months.

Neymar has declared himself fit to play ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s next midweek’s clash with Real Madrid, with the Brazilian saying he expects to feature in the game at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Brazilian superstar has been out of action since featuring in PSG’s 2-0 win over Ligue 1 side Angers at the start of October.

He was then declared fit to play in the most recent international break for Brazil but picked up an ailment to draw fears from the PSG faithful that Neymar was once again facing a spell on the sidelines.

However, as the player told FootMercato in a recent interview, PSG would have the option to nominate him in their starting XI against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Speaking to the press outlet ahead of PSG’s game at the weekend, the Brazilian allayed the fears of his fans by announcing his return from injury.

“I’m perfect, perfectly ready to play against Real Madrid in the Champions League,” said Neymar when asked by the press about his injury situation.

Neymar was attending the Davis Cup tie between Rafael Nadal and Karen Khachanov alongside his former Barcelona teammate Gerard Pique at Madrid’s Caja Magica tennis arena.

PSG would undoubtedly welcome the comeback of the Brazilian from injury as they try to maintain their 100% winning record in this season’s Champions League.

The Les Parisiens have won all four of their opening games in the group stage, including an enthralling 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the first tie between the two sides.

Since his €222m arrival from Barcelona two seasons ago, Neymar has missed over 55 games for Paris Saint-Germain across multiple competitions due to repeated injury concerns.

His time on the treatment table has forced the Brazilian to miss more than 45% of all the games that the Les Parisiens have played during his stay at the Parc des Princes

The 28-year-old has featured in only one Champions League knockout game during his two-and-a-bit season stay at PSG, with repeated metatarsal injuries hampering his career in French football.

His injury record this season hasn’t been any good as the Brazilian has played in only 5 of the 17 games that PSG has taken part in both the Ligue 1 and the Champions League so far this campaign.

While PSG haven’t been that affected by his absence due to injuries, as they sit comfortably at the top of the table in both the Ligue 1 as well as their Champions League group, they’d still want to see more of Neymar on the field in the coming months.
