Niklas Süle scored the only goal of the game as Bayern Munich finally broke Jiri Pavlenka’s resistance and beat Werder Bremen 1-0 at the Allianz Arena.

So what?  Werder Bremen have lost their last 17 Bundesliga matches in a row against Bayern, and have been without a win in their last 21 matches. The last Bremen victory was on 20 September 2008.

And now? Franck Ribery is undefeated in all of his 22 career matches against Bremen, scoring 12 goals. All of Niklas Süle’s four Bayern goals (two this season) have come at the Allianz Arena. Bremen failed to score in a competitive game for the first time this season.

Bottomline: The Green-Whites have lost their last 17 Bundesliga matches in a row against Bayern, and are winless in their last 21, dating back to 20 September 2008.
