The world’s most expensive shot-stopper has fallen out of favor with boss Frank Lampard who has relegated the Spaniard to the Chelsea bench.

Out of favor Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has vowed to fight for his Blues’ future and dismissed suggestions that he’d be leaving the club in the summer.

The former Athletic Bilbao shot-stopper was dropped from the Blues starting XI earlier this season and manager Lampard warned Kepa to work harder to retain his position.

His omission from the squad saw Kepa, who has the lowest save percentage of any goalkeeper in the Premier League this season, go without playing a minute for one-and-a-half month.

But while the 25-year-old did get his position back in the Blues’ 4-0 demolition of Everton earlier this month, there are rumors that the North London club are still looking to sign a new goalkeeper in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to a report by Daily Mail, the Spanish goalkeeper has been assured by senior figures at Stamford Bridge that he has a future at the club.

Kepa was praised to his reaction after being shunted out of the side and came back to deliver strong back-to-back performances to show that he has learnt his lessons.

His performance during the Blues 2-0 victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup was particularly impressive as the 25-year-old made a string of excellent saves to help dump the Reds out of the cup.

The brilliant cameo on his return helped Kepa convince Lampard of his utility who then gave the Blues number one a rare Premier League outing against Everton on the following weekend.

Chelsea look to sign new goalkeepers

The report further claims that with Willy Caballero 39, the Blues are looking to add a new goalkeeper to their ranks in the summer transfer window.

They have their eyes on Manchester United’s Dean Henderson who has hugely impressed during his loan spell at the Premier League newcomers Sheffield United.

Ajax Andre Onana, who was one of the star players of the squad that reached the UEFA Champions League semi-final last season, is another name on their transfer wishlist.

Juan Musso of Udinese and Gianluigi Donnarumma of AC Milan have also been touted as potential options by the club’s higher-ups as they look to give Kepa more competition for places.
