Paris St-Germain eyeing a loan move for ‘unhappy’ Spurs midfielder

Paris Saint-Germain will take another shot at Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli with a loan offer in the January transfer window.

The French giants tried to sign the 24-year-old in summer, but club Chairman Daniel Levy didn’t give a green signal.

The arrival of former Manchester United and Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho didn’t do any good to the Englishman as he started only once in Premier League this season. Alli, who excelled under former boss Mauricio Pochettino, was involved in 120 goals in 260 Spurs appearances.

Lack of playing time with the Club has cost him his place in England starting XI with no international appearance in 2020. And the Spurs playmaker could leave the North Londoners to get playing time with England in next year’s Euro Cup.

While talking about Dele, Mourinho added: “Let’s not run away from reality. A player that is on the bench and then realises that he’s not one of the five players [coming on] of course is not a happy player, and I wouldn’t expect him to be happy.”
