PSG confident of signing Spurs star, Milan want Schalke defender and Arsenal facing competition for Aouar

Jose Mourinho dropped the England international from his side’s frantic 5-2 victory over Southampton in the Premier League at the weekend.

Paris Saint-Germain are confident of striking a 12-month loan deal with Tottenham Hotspur for midfielder Dele Alli, reports The Telegraph.

The Champions League runners-up are also confident of getting a deal for the England international over the line before October 5’s transfer deadline. They are reportedly assured that the 24-year-old midfielder wants to move to the Parc des Princes this summer.

PSG and Tottenham enjoy a good working relationship with the French giants selling Lucas Moura and Serge Aurier to the North London outfit in recent seasons. Their efforts to try and sign Alli on loan might also suit Daniel Levy as the Spurs chairman might be reluctant to let him leave permanently.

But the French champions aren’t the only side interested in the midfielder’s signature as Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan are also reportedly keeping tabs on his situation. Though the Serie A runners-up might struggle to finance a loan move for the 24-year-old.

Stefano Poli’s side enjoyed a perfect start to the 2020/21 Serie season after winning their opening game against Bologna at the weekend.

AC Milan are reportedly interested in securing the services of Schalke defender Matija Nastasic on loan with an obligation to buy.

The Rossoneri, who were previously linked with Fiorentina centre-half Nikola Milenkovic, are also keeping tabs on Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer. But they have made their move for the former Manchester City defender by contacting Schalke to explore the possibility of a loan deal.

Milan’s precarious financial situation has forced Stefano Poli’s side to get inventive in the transfer market and prefer short-term loan deals over permanent signings. They are therefore keen on initially signing Nastasic on loan, with a view to making his stay at San Siro permanent next summer.

Sky Sports [via Sky in Italy] report that the 27-year-old centre-back remains the first choice for Milan who aim to strengthen their defense after letting in 46 goals in 38 Serie A games last season.

Mikel Arteta is reportedly a huge admirer of the Lyon ace and wants him to sign for Arsenal before the summer transfer window closes next month.

Arsenal are facing competition from an unspecified Champions League club in their pursuit of Houssem Aouar, reports Evening Standard [quoting The Telegraph].

The 22-year-old Lyon ace is one of Gunners’ top transfer targets this summer but his side’s £50m+ valuation of the France international has frustrated the Gunners who have seen their attempts to include Matteo Guendouzi as part of a deal rejected by Lyon.

Gunners’ boss Arteta is reportedly a huge fan of the midfielder and might already be making space for him in his midfield as Arsenal are set to allow the likes of Matteo Guendouzi and Mikel Torreira leave the club this summer.

France international Guendouzi fell out of favor with Arteta after Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat at Brighton last season whereas the form of players above him in the pecking order has limited game time for Torreira who has been linked with a move to Serie A.
