Real Madrid interested in Dortmund starlet, Milan rejected moves for Man Utd duo and more transfer news

The 17-year-old American, who joined Dortmund from New York City FC last summer, will become a free agent upon the expiry of his 2-year contract with the Bundesliga side next summer.

Real Madrid are interested in the completing the signing of Borussia Dortmund starlet Giovanni Reyna in the January transfer window, per Don Balon.

Zinedine Zidane’s side didn’t spend any money over the summer as the financial impact of the pandemic forced Los Blancos to prefer the club’s financial health over anything else.

But the Spanish news outlet claims that La Liga champions will be back in the market in January with a $22m bid for the 17-year-old attacking midfielder.

Reyna will be available on a free transfer next summer, but Lucien Favre is reportedly confident of tying down the teenager with a new long-term contract after his 18th birthday in November.

The Rossoneri completed the loan signing of Manchester United and Portugal youngster Diogo Dalot over the summer but refused to sanction any money for the signings of the duo.

AC Milan rejected the offer to sign Chris Smalling and Andreas Pereira from Manchester United in the summer transfer window, reports Calcio Mercato [via Sport Witness].

Stefano Poli’s side conduced business with the Red Devils as they completed the season-long loan signing of Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot from the Old Trafford outfit. The 21-year-old had fallen down the pecking order at United and was eager to move elsewhere to gain more first-team action.

However, reports in Italy claim that Milan spurned the opportunity to join their new signing with two of his Man Utd teammates at the San Siro.

Smalling’s move to the Serie A outfit never got off the ground as the player’s preference was to return to Roma on a permanent transfer, while Milan’s pursuit of Brahim Diaz kept them from seriously considering the signing of Pereira.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have been busy in the transfer market and has already spent over €62m on securing the services of Ben Godfrey, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure over the summer.

Everton are the latest club to try and poach Joshua King away from Bournemouth before the closure of the domestic transfer window.

The England international was linked with a moves to Tottenham Hotspur over the past few months but the Cherries’ high-valuation of their prized asset convinced Jose Mourinho’s side to secure the signing of Carlos Vinicius from Portuguese outfit Benfica instead.

Football Insider claims that Eddie Howe’s side are prepared to accept £15m for the player who has scored 48 Premier League goals in 161 appearances for Bournemouth.

King’s potential arrival at the Goodison Park will see the 28-year-old put pressure on the likes of in-form Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison for a starting spot.
