The 19-year-old, who signed a new contract with Chelsea earlier this year, has also courted concrete interest from the likes of Bayern Munich in the past.

Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea as Zinedine Zidane prepares the club’s transfer strategy for next summer, reports El Esmarque.

The 19-year-old was a subject of concrete interest from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich last season, who saw several bids for the England international rejected by the Blues.

However, while the player was initially adamant of getting his move to Germany, he signed a 5-year-long contract worth £100,000 a week in September.

While Hudson-Odoi is yet to find the back of the net in any competition this season, he has provided 3 assists to his teammates in six Premier League appearances so far this season.

Reports claim that club president Florentino Perez has decided to change his transfer strategy which previously focused on bringing proven talent to the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 13-time European Champions are now focusing their eyes on young players which can further their potential by a move to the Spanish giants.

If proven to be true, this would be a revolutionary change in how Perez manages the club as his three stints as club chairman have all focused on bringing Madrid signing Galacticos.

Given the fact that most of Real’s stars are now on the wrong side of 30, a transfer push for young starlets, if proved successful, might help the club to remain successful for many years to come.

However, for that to happen, both the chairman and manager will need time from the Bernabeu crowd which has traditionally shown no appetite for long-term plans.

Real target Hudson-Odoi and three other signings for next summer

In addition to indicating their interest in the Chelsea winger, Real are also targeting Everton’s Moise Kean, RB Salzburg’s Erling Haaland, and Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze.

Haaland, 21, has made waves around Europe by his goal-scoring exploits in the ongoing Champions League season, with the striker scoring 7 goals in the opening five group games for his team. His potential arrival at the club would surely signal the end of the road for new signing Luka Jovic who has failed to impress since his £63m move from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer.

Moise Kean is perhaps the most surprising name on Real’s wish-list as the former Juventus man has failed to live up to the hype since his £25m transfer to Everton before the start of this season. Despite making nine appearances for the Blues in the Premier League, the 19-year-old Italian is yet to open his goal-scoring account in England.

Villarreal midfielder Chukwueze has impressed in La Liga this term as the winger has scored 2 goals and provided one assist to his teammates in 12 appearances, though he’d be only targeted if none of the three above-mentioned signings fail to materialize.
