Real Madrid transfer news: Plan to sell five players to raise transfer funds, transfer target makes decision and more

In today’s Real Madrid transfer news, we take a look at the latest rumors and the players who might be leaving and arriving at Santiago Bernabeu in the coming months.

Real Madrid are planning a mass exodus of players in the upcoming summer transfer window, as report unveils Los Blancos’ intention to sell as many as five players to raise funds for new signings.

Prior to the coronavirus pandemic bringing everything to a halt, there were credible reports that Zinedine Zidane was planning to sign a plethora of players in the summer transfer window. Zidane was reportedly unimpressed with the options he already had and wanted to strengthen his side ahead of next season.

However, with the ongoing pandemic hitting the finances of all clubs across Europe, Real now face a situation in which they’d first have to offload their star names to raise enough money with which to secure new signings that could help the side challenge for trophies.

AS reports that Gareth Bale, Lucas Vazquez, James Rodridguez and Mariano have all been told by the club that they are free to leave when the transfer window reopens. Aside from these four, both Luka Modric and Marcelo have been told by the club that they are free to decide on their futures.

Top News 2: Camavinga makes decision on his future

Where on the one end Real are telling their players to sort out their futures, it seems one of their transfer target has made a decision on his future, on the other.

Rennes manager Julien Stephan has revealed in an interview with Quest France that teenage prodigy Eduardo Camavinga will reject a summer move to Real Madrid or Manchester United.

Camavinga is one of the players on the transfer wish-list of Madrid boss Zidane who has been reportedly impressed by what he has seen from the 17-year-old during his 1-year long senior career.

Premier League outfit Manchester United were also keeping tabs on the player before the recent statement by Rennes manager in which he has stated that the France national has chosen to stay put in Ligue 1 for the foreseeable future.

The 27-year-old gained prominence after putting in a tireless performance during Rennes’ 2-1 win over defending champions PSG last August and has continued to make strides to establish his reputation as one of the best young players in Europe.
