The 20-year-old Turkey international, who has also been linked with Premier League champions Liverpool, joined Schalke in a €15million move last summer.
AC Milan were interested in completing the signing of highly-rated Turkey and Schalke centre-back Ozan Kabak, the Bundesliga club’s sporting director has told WAZ.
Kabak, 20, has emerged as one of the brightest youth-prospects in Germany since joining Schalke before the start of last season. The 20-year-old has made 30 appearances for Manuel Baum’s side in all competitions, scoring three goals in the process.
Previous reports claimed that Liverpool were impressed with the Turkish centre-back’s performances and opened talks with Schalke over a potential deal for Kobak. The 6’1’’ defender reportedly has a €45m exit clause in his contract that can be activated next summer.
However, with the Bundesliga outfit confirming that it parried away an official approach from the Rossoneri for the centre-back, Jurgen Klopp’s side might have to pay an outlandish transfer fee if they’re to sign Kabak.
Juventus are considering making an official approach for Erling Haaland when the €75m release clause in the striker’s Borussia Dortmund contract becomes active, per Calcio Mercato.
The 20-year-old Norwegian striker joined Lucian Favre’s side on a four year deal in January after Dortmund agreed to meet the €20m release clause in his Red Bull Salzburg contract.
Haaland has been at the top of his game ever since, scoring 24 goals in his first 27 official appearances for the Bundesliga giants. He was also the joint-6th highest scorer in Bundesliga last season with 13 goals despite only moving to Germany at the start of this year.
And Juventus are one of many clubs across Europe who have decided to keep tabs on the striker until 2022 when the €75m release clause in his contract will become active.
The 20-year-old Brighton full-back has been a revelation since joining the Seagulls on a three-year deal from Chelsea in January.
Atletico Madrid are set to battle Bayern Munich and Sevilla for the signing of Brighton right-back Tariq Lamptey, according to Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old full-back joined the Seagulls in January on a three-year deal from Chelsea and has been a revelation ever since. His exciting performances for the Premier League minnows have catapulted Lamptey to one of the most promising young full-backs in the English top-flight.
Brighton understandably are not too keen on letting their prized asset leave the club either in January or next summer, which is why Graham Potter’s side will begin negotiations with the 20-year-old over a new contract after next week’s international break.
Figures quoted by Daily Mail show that the young full-back is the most-fouled defender in the Premier League as he has been brought to his knees 3.28 times per match. Lamptey also manages more successful dribbles per game (4.82) than any other full-back in the English top-division.
