Spurs vs United – Bruno Fernandes makes up for De Gea blunder, Guardiola confirms winger’s departure and Bournemouth star to leave at end of month

With only four points separating 5th-placed Manchester United and 8th-placed Spurs, Mourinho’s men wasted a golden opportunity to reduce the gap on top 5.

Jose Mourinho welcomed his former side to London as Premier League campaign back on running again since the lockdown in March. With Harry Kane and Son Heung-min starting for the Spurs and Marcus Rashford in United’s starting XI, both teams looked balanced.

Steven Bergwijn, in 27th minute, gave Spurs the lead as his forceful shot straight at De Gea was deflected to the top of the net by the Spaniard.

However, Spain no 1 came up with a brilliant one-handed save from Son’s close-range header a few minutes later.

Bruno Fernandes, the most likely goal-scorer on the pitch, brought the Red Devils back level from the spot-kick after the substitute Paul Pogba was pushed in the box by Eric Dier.

Ryan Fraser declines new short-term contract offer

With his contract expiring at end of June, the Scotland international decided to leave the Cherries and will not play in Bournemouth outfit again.

After joining AFCB in 2013, Ryan Fraser has denied signing a short-term contract with the club as Eddie Howe gives honest opinion on the 26-year-old.

“[Fraser] has now played his last game for the football club. He won't be involved with us for the last nine games.”

With Bournemouth fighting for a place in next year’s PL campaign, Eddie Howe only wants players who are focusing on club’s ambition to survive and according to former Burnley manager, the 5’’10 winger is too focused on his future.

“I only want players who are fully focused on the relegation battle we have ahead and I'm looking forward to doing that with my squad. Ryan, due to his contract situation, can't commit to that.”
