Pele stopped a civil war in Nigeria

In 1969, Pelé and his club Santos traveled to Lagos, Nigeria, in the middle of a civil war. The legend says that Nigeria and Biafra held a ceasefire for 48 hours to enjoy watching Pelé play. He scored 2 out of 2 goals for Santos in that match.
