The 60-year-old was sacked by the Neapolitans following the club’s poor start to the new season which left them trailing top of the table Inter Milan by 17 points.

Arsenal, Everton and West Ham are the three Premier League clubs which are interested in acquiring the services of former Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich head coach was relieved off his duties at the Sao Paolo stadium on Tuesday following his side’s poor start to the 19/20 Serie A season.

Despite spending over £100m on new transfers in the summer transfer window, the Gil Azzurri currently find themselves 17 points behind leaders Inter Milan with 15 games on the board.

The 60-year-old’s sacking has come at a time when all the three Premier League outfits mentioned earlier are reportedly looking for new managers who could help them climb up the table.

West Ham have emerged as the latest admirers of the Italian as the club’s poor form in the Premier League raises doubts over the long-term future of manager Manuel Pellegrini.

The Hammers started the season with their fans positive about the future, as the club had spent more than €65 million on bringing in the likes of Sebastian Haller and Pablo Fornals to the London Stadium.

The arrival of new signings made an impact on the pitch early on as West Ham won three of their opening six games in the Premier League.

However, their form nosedived after a 2-0 victory over Manchester United, with Manuel Pellegrini’s men losing eight out of their next eleven fixtures in all competitions.

Daily Mail reported last night that the West Ham board has consulted with the players to seek their opinion on whether the club should part ways with the former Man City boss. And should that happen, Carlo Ancelotti would certainly attract those in the club’s hierarchy.

Everton, who are without a permanent manager since the departure of Marco Silva earlier this month, are reportedly set to open talks with Ancelotti.

The Blues were a good value for their money last weekend as they defeated a youthful Chelsea side in their first game under interim manager and ex-player Duncan Ferguson.

However, while the players played with their heart on the sleeve, there is a realization among the club’s ownership that a more experienced manager is needed to steady the ship and get the Merseysiders out of the relegation zone.

Arsenal, meanwhile, came from behind to defeat West Ham on Monday night, but their performance was unable to quell doubts about the acumen of interim boss Freddie Ljungberg.

The Swede, who has been given the Gunners’ manager job on an interim basis, has no experience of managing any club at a senior level in his career.
