Tottenham have appointed Jose Mourinho as the club’s new manager less than a day after the sacking of former head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine enjoyed a largely successful five-and-a-half-year spell at the North London club during which he took the Lilywhites to their first-ever Champions League final.
Spurs’ extended poor start to the ongoing season cost Pochettino his job as the club currently sit at 14th place in the Premier League table after 12 games on the board.
Chairman Daniel Levy wasted no time in appointing his successor and Jose Mourinho is set to take charge of Tottenham for their Saturday’s trip to fellow London outfit West Ham united.
