The reigning European champions are poised to end the club’s 30-year-long wait for the Premier League title when the English top-flight resumes next month.
Police have made it clear that any match in which Liverpool could wrap up the title won’t be played at Anfield, dashing hopes of the Reds’ faithful to see the reigning European champions lift the Premier League trophy at home soil.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were 25 points clear of second-placed Manchester City when the English top-flight was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic in March. The Reds need only two more wins from their remaining 9 games to wrap up their first title in three decades.
